LONDON: Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta played Liverpool's official song 'You Are Not Alone' during training ahead of the trip to Anfield.

This is one of the ways Arteta mentally prepares his young players for important matches. The Gunners manager also used some tactics, such as teaching his players to hold hands during the team briefing.

This approach was revealed in the Amazon Prime documentary series All or Nothing: Arsenal. The Spanish operator admits that he is not afraid to try something new, which is sometimes over the edge, but some of it pays off.

Arsenal traveled to Liverpool on November 20 last year after recovering from a poor start to the season and an eight-match unbeaten run.

In the documentary, Arteta told his men that the visit to Anfield would define their campaign. Arsenal's squad was the youngest in the Premier League last season and the players had to adapt to the atmosphere at Anfield.

"You have to know the situation at Anfield, believe me, it's a very different place to my experience in the English Premier League," Arteta said. Arteta, a former Arsenal and Everton player, has won twice at Anfield with the Gunners, most recently 2-0 in 2012.
