In February 2013, Aaron Hernandez, then a star tight end with the New England Patriots, got into an argument with one of his “friends” after a visit to a strip club in Miami, and in the car afterward, shot him in the face. The man who was shot, Alexander Bradley, lost his right eye. Bradley initially declined to tell police who shot him (understandably so).
Finally, we know what prompted the argument that resulted in Hernandez shooting his “friend” in the face – the splitting of the bar tab. These details trickled out in court today:
In January, 2013, Hernandez caught six passes for 85 yards in a playoff win over the Texans; a week later he caught nine passes for 83 yards in a loss to the Ravens.
A month later, he shot his “friend” in the face after a fight about a bar tab.
Five months later, Hernandez allegedly murdered Odin Lloyd, for which he is currently on trial. [via Michelle Steele]
