Cucurella go to Chelsea?

CUCURELLA is also wanted in the City.
London: Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal with Brighton to sign versatile Marco Cucurella for £52.5 million. The Blues quickly brought the Seagulls star to Stamford Bridge after Manchester City deemed the Spaniard too expensive.

According to various reports, the 24-year-old former Getafe player, who can play in defensive and wing positions, will undergo a medical before he is expected to sign a six-year deal. Chelsea's deal with Brighton also saw the transfer of talented defender Levi Colwill to the Seagulls. The media said on their twitter: “Marc Cucurella will go to London early in the morning with his agent. "Chelsea have booked a medical and a contract will be signed until June 2028.

"Fee worth £52.5m for Cucurella and Brighton to buy Levi Colwill in separate deal." However, Brighton later confirmed in a statement that no deal had been reached. On the club's twitter: "Inaccurate reports in some media, there is no agreement with the club to sell Marco Cucurella." Cucurella wanted to move to the Citizens, but the Premier League champions refused to pay more than £30 million and manager Pep Guardiola is now looking for an alternative, trying to bring Anderlecht's Sergio Gomez to the Etihad.
