Here’s a clip from earlier this week in the Russian KHL. Admittedly I’m not an ice hockey expert, but if a player is up against the boards near the bench where there’s the in/out door for line changes, it’s not a good idea to open said door when a player is about to get checked. That’s what happened as one of the bench staffers cracks open the door, leading to a multiple body pile-up. It appears one of the players on the vested staffers team takes the worst bump, too.
As the saying goes, you had one job.
